Part of Flood Remediations

Dehumidifiers, fans (air movers) and air cleaners (air scrubbers)

This is part of MP Krew's Flood Remediations work, for homes, apartment communities and businesses across San Diego County.

When water gets into a home or a building, MP Krew handles the whole job. We find where the water went, remove what cannot be saved, and dry the structure with dehumidifiers, air movers and air cleaners. Then the same company rebuilds it, so you deal with one licensed contractor from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Water does not stay where it lands. It wicks up drywall, soaks into the bottom of cabinets and spreads under flooring, often far past the spot you can see. That is why the first thing we do is measure. Once we know where the water went, we take out only what cannot be saved, seal off the area and dry it until the readings say it is dry. Nothing gets closed up wet.

How a water job goes

  1. Step 01

    Find the water

A thermal camera and a moisture meter show where the water went, before anything gets cut.

  2. Step 02

    Pull out the standing water

Extraction comes first. Until the standing water is gone, nothing can really dry.

  3. Step 03

    Remove what can't be saved

Wet baseboards, flooring, drywall and insulation come out before mold has a chance to start.

  4. Step 04

Seal it off and dry it

Plastic walls keep the wet area apart from the rest of the home while air movers and dehumidifiers run.

  5. 38%22%12%DRY
    Step 05

    Measure until it reads dry

Readings are taken room by room, so the drying is proven before anything is rebuilt.
