Part of Flood Restorations

New flooring

This is part of MP Krew's Flood Restorations work, for homes, apartment communities and businesses across San Diego County.

After the drying is done, MP Krew rebuilds what the water took: framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, tile, cabinets, paint and finishes. Bathrooms are a big part of our work, from the shower pan up. The space comes back the way it was, and you deal with one licensed contractor the whole way.

A rebuild is where you see the difference between a patch and a repair. We open things up far enough to see everything the water touched, have our licensed plumbing partners fix the lines while it is open, put the insulation back, and use mold-resistant board where the water was. In showers, the waterproofing goes down before a single tile. Then flooring, cabinets, fixtures and paint, matched to what is already there.

How a rebuild goes

  1. Step 01

    Open it up

Damaged walls and floors come down to the studs, so everything behind them can be checked.

  2. Step 02

    Fix what's underneath

New water lines and drains go in while everything is open, done by our licensed plumbing partners.

  3. Step 03

    Insulation and new walls

Insulation goes back in before the walls close, then new board goes up.

  4. Step 04

    Waterproof the shower

A new waterproof shower base and seal go down before a single tile is set.

  5. Step 05

    Tile, fixtures, done

Tile, a vanity and fixtures finish the room, so it comes back the way it was.
